Who Qualifies to Work on EPWP Projects ?
To qualify to work on EPWP projects you must be:
- Unemployed individuals.
- Unskilled individuals.
- Men and Women.
- Youth between the ages of 16 and 35.
- Persons with a disability.
Will I get permanent job at the end of the internship ?
No, however successful interns will have access to internal bulletins but still have to undergo the prescribed recruitment and selection process (apply, shortlist/assessment and interview).
How long is the internship?
Depends when the intern starts duty but their contracts will end the 31 March of the following year.
Will I be trained during the internship ?
Yes depending on the type of internship, interns are trained to meet entry level posts requirements.
Can I apply for more than one internship ?
Yes but in the event the applicant is found suitable and employed as intern, they may not exceed 24 months with the WCG Health and Wellness , even if the internship differs.
I have to apply every year if im unsuccessful ?
Yes ,new year means new applications.
Will I be placed to my closest facility ?
Yes, candidates must select their chosen institution.
Will I get paid ?
Yes, all successful interns receive a stipend(allowance) throughout their contract period.
